What you'll do
- Design and build scalable backend services in Laravel
- Build and maintain integrations with travel suppliers, including GDS, NDC and hotel providers
- Optimise database queries and design caching
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code
- Review code and mentor less experienced engineers
- Help shape architecture and technical strategy
- Work with frontend engineers, designers and product, and own backend work from design to deployment
What you bring
- 5+ years of backend experience with PHP and Laravel
- Solid relational database design with PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
- Redis caching strategies
- Queues and asynchronous processing
- Testing with PHPUnit or Pest
Nice to have
- Travel industry experience
- Knowledge of GDS and NDC standards
- Experience with microservices
- AWS or other cloud infrastructure
- Open source contributions
